AN ETERNAL DANCE
November, 2019
Handmade poetry-art infinity cards fold endlessly. These cards are covered with henna designs and images of Garba (Gujarati dance performed during Navratri). The work highlights the beautiful mix of the Canadian and Gujarati cultures and embraces the essence of individuality. All images and poetry are by Bijal. The concept of the folding cards is not an original idea and came from a card she got in the mail which she deconstructed to learn how they work.
